Wen Gang, Chairman of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), met with a delegation from KAZ Minerals PLC (KAZ Minerals), led by Oleg Novachuk, Chair of the Supervisory Board of KAZ Minerals, at CNMC headquarters in Beijing on Sept. 2.?
The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening strategic cooperation and expanding areas of cooperation.

Wen welcomed the delegation and noted that KAZ Minerals is a globally recognized copper producer with strong capabilities in resource development, smelting, and processing.
In recent years, CNMC has continued to expand its international operations and has attached great importance to the Kazakhstan market, where it has been deepening its presence, Wen said.
With extensive experience and expertise across various links of the nonferrous metals industrial chain, including resource development, engineering and construction, and smelting and processing, CNMC sees a strong foundation and great complementary advantages for cooperation between the two companies, Wen noted.
He expressed hope that the two sides would build on their existing cooperation and leverage their respective strengths to pursue pragmatic cooperation across the above-mentioned areas and achieve further results.
Novachuk thanked CNMC for its warm reception and spoke highly of CNMC's leading position and technological capabilities in the nonferrous metals industry, calling CNMC a trustworthy partner.?
He said KAZ Minerals places great emphasis on cooperation with CNMC and is ready to strengthen communication and coordination, so as to expand areas of cooperation and work together to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Other CNMC executives and representatives of relevant companies from both sides also attended the meeting.
